The Old Grist Mill Tavern, an historic Seekonk restaurant, was destroyed by a fire and explosion early Sunday morning after a truck overturned and caught fire. The tractor-trailer was carrying bananas when the driver lost control at about 5:30 a.m., the Providence Journal reported. "He (the tractor trailer driver) slid along the ground and took out the gas main and the electrical lines. There was a pretty good explosion and it started a fire," Gregory Esmay, co-owner of the restaurant, told the newspaper.
